More Information
Our
self adhesive anti slip tape also know as non slip tape, provides a no slip surface for safety and grip. Rough surfaces provide greater grip than smooth ones. Safety tread tape allows you to lay down an uneven surface with great grip wherever you need it.
The Tape
The
non slip tape’s surface is made up of finely ground mineral particle aggregate bonded to a high strength filmic carrier. As well as offering excellent grip, the non slip tape is durable, won’t tear and is available in a range of colours for maximum visibility across a range of locations. Bright colours can serve as a warning of hazardous areas.
Self adhesive anti slip tape offers excellent conformability, a high tack and maximum slip resistance. The anti slip tape is supplied on a release liner in a choice of rolls, sheets, cleats or tiles. It is effective across a wide temperature range; from -5°C up to 50°C. Applied properly, this safety tread tape provides a strong gripping surface in a variety of potentially hazardous situations.
The Use
34 million workdays were lost in the UK in 2007/8 as a result of workplace-related injuries and illnesses, with
six million being a direct result of work place accidents.
Slips, trips and falls are one of the most common causes, but many such accidents can be prevented if safety tread is used on high risk areas such as steps and staircases. It’s hard to slip if you’ve got a good grip.
The anti slip tape can also be used to create a safety tread pathway across smooth surfaces which may otherwise present a slip hazard. On factory floors or other hazardous areas, non slip tape can be used to mark out a hazard free walkway. It works equally well on other surfaces where a lack of grip could prove hazardous, e.g. ramps, ladders and construction machinery.
Some surfaces only become hazardous when wet. If you have a smooth concrete courtyard or metal walkways which are exposed to the elements, laying down
self adhesive anti slip tape can prevent injuries in the event of rain. The adhesive bond offered is strong and shouldn’t be broken down by exposure to moisture.
