Product Description
FL8300 is primarily a foam compression sealant. The white foam is predominantly closed celled and is a very hard foam. Coated on one side with an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive, with a release liner on the non-adhesive side, FL8300 will act as a water seal and air/dust seal when compressed (a minimum 30% compression required to effect a water seal).
This product displays good resistance to dilute acids and alkalis and very good Ultra violet (UV) Light resistance. Whilst exhibiting a high degree of flame retardancy, FL8300 also benefits from resistance to abrasion, corrosion and moisture.
Applications include for preventing electrolytic corrosion, for cushioning, for heavy duty applications, gap filling, anti slip mounting, compression air/dust seal.
FL8300 is fire rated to BS476 part 7, class 1, and also fire rated to UK Building Regulations class O
